As part of the qualitative communications resulting from its previous participations, “The Gallery” received an official invitation from Ms. Noor Al-Askar, Director of the Art Cairo project, to represent the gallery in the sixth edition of the fair. The event is scheduled to take place at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo from February 7 to 11, 2025. This opportunity was facilitated through the artist Rasmi Al-Khafaji, one of the participants in our exhibitions last year, who played an active role in connecting “The Gallery” with the exhibition management.
Art Cairo is considered one of the most important art fairs in the region, annually attracting prominent institutions and artists from across the Arab world. Participation in this fair represents a key milestone for The Gallery, offering exposure on an international platform and reinforcing its commitment to promoting Iraqi contemporary art. This opportunity also highlights the gallery’s dedication to expanding cultural exchange, building relationships with artists and institutions, and contributing to the visibility and recognition of Iraqi art on a global stage. This year’s participation was organized without financial sponsorship, making the gallery’s presence a testament to its dedication and the quality of its exhibitions.
